“You are a social worker in a refugee reception centre and working on the case of a family from Afghanistan. The father is 35 years old and used to be a construction worker, the mother was a nurse and their children are 3 and 7 years old. They arrived in your country 3 months ago with a boat, in a traumatic journey, and they were rescued from your coastguard. You are providing counselling for the 7 year old girl, and you are suspecting that her mother is abusive and may be suffering from mental illness. Since your organisation works exclusively with children, the parents are seen by other social workers in a separate agency. You want to see if your suspicions are right and believe that sharing information with that organisation will help you do a better needs assessment and intervention. “
